Mercedes Vision CLS looks like an Olds Aurora!
What happened to the pillerless b column Coupe?

i actually thought we's see a 2 door coupe E class or maybe a 4 door coupe but with the suicide doors but this just looks like a jaguar saloon 
i was expecting better!
but i like the interior! 
(if not the colour )

i think that interior looks real nice, when i first saw the pictures, it reminded me of an aston martin from the back, and a Q45 from the front, i think its an ok look, interior color and wood is to die for!

I was not initially a fan, and from just about every angle.
But all the views in this post I really really like (leading me to believe that maroon or whatever the heck color that car is painted in, is misleading me a bit).
Still, not quite what I expected (not sure if that's good or bad).
A car that breaks ground like this one deserves some time to be digested, I suppose (and maybe thrown up!).

Well the December 12 , 2002 Autospies got this right then. Scroll to the bottom past their S-class report and see their comments regarding the coming CLE( CLS) having Infiniti G35 headlights, but L-shaped. Just like the near production " concept " Vision CLS shown at Frankfurt today. CLS was designed at the MBZ US design center by an American at Irvine, CA a few years ago when MBZ was assuming , incorrect in hindsight , that the " stylish " Jaguar S-class might take away younger, esp female E class buyers and that they needed something on the new E platform that was more youthful and sleek. The interior's wide band of wood across the dash is very Jaguar and old-time Bentley-like tufted leather . Rear has Acura TL drop away, and high belt/small windows give it an almost Lexus ES 300 side profile. Definitely a lithe , " feminine " car , like the CL coupe. I expect to see lots of " shopaholic " chicks jamming the Nordstrom's parking lots with this car a year from now. Autospies Dec 12 , 2002 spy report on CLE/CLS

Damn, the interior look much nicer than w211. I love it. I think I bought E to fast. I should buy this one.
Lexus SC430 interior is also hot. It looks very sporty. Yeah it a bit like lSC430 (interior)

W211 & Q7
extented head light design -- copy from lexus ES (IMHO, this design is not pretty, ES does better job this time, of course, you can say ES copy from w220) interior is about "same" as w211 (change color from black to white)

Car has a nicer interior, even though it is only an upgrade to the W211 interior. Looks a lot more elegant. Can't say I like the exterior too much. The back looks like the Volvo C70 (not sure if that is the model number), and front looks like a combination of the G35/ES/SC.

I doubt it will make production - This car has no "real" market. It is niche.
