Help with towing a 2003 e500 on a two wheel dolly
I am going to be traveling about 1700 miles and need help on towing my car on a two wheel car dolly . Would it be ok if I to it with the rear wheels up on the dolly would it damage my transmission thanks and would I have to disconnect the driveshaft and does anyone know how to do it if I need to to disconnect it. Thanks help would be appreciated .

Is it 4-Matic or RWD? If it's 4-Matic all wheels need to be lifted or you will damage the transfer case and transmission. If it's rear-wheel-drive then you can lift only the two rear wheels and you will be fine as with any RWD car, there is no power sent to the front wheels. Look online for further towing instructions and guidelines.

Rear wheel drive
It's a rear wheel drive I hear that u can't put the rear wheel drive on a dolly or else it will move back and fourth because of the weight in the front I am trying to figure out how to disconnect the rear transfer shaft I heard I can do it like that .

If you're towing with the rear wheels on the ground, the drive shaft needs to be removed. If you are not towing it with the rear wheels on the ground, hence backwards with a tow dolly if you can do that with your setup, then no you do not need to remove it. I have no heard that but consider calling your dealership.

-Don't arm it
-Unplug the battery
-Take out the fuse
You have some options here bud. All of the above procedures for towing are described in the owners manual in the 460s pages. The engineers did not forget about towing.
