Extended Warranty on E320

Extended Warranty on E320
I am about to pick up my '03 E320 from the dealer in CT. The last decision I have to make is whether to take the extended warranty and if so for how many years. The dealer quoted me list prices; one year/$1,580 , two/$1,990 and three/$2,380. All three take you out to 100k miles. He then said he could drop $200 off the one year extension. From the mileage I do it would make sense to take the two year extension but I'm wondering if any of you have found a better price.

i did the 7 yea/100,000 mile warranty, i believe thats the same as the 3rd one you posted.
i think we paid 2200-2300. others have posted a lady, who has her own company i believe, which sells the warranty for a cheaper price.
i think its a good idea though, any which way you go

search for Lisa and extended warranty in this forum. you will find a good deal from her. Lisa works as a financial officer for mb dealer in Chico (a small town) CA. but warranty is warranty, no matter whom you buy from -- get the best price you can. You have a whole year allowed before you buy the extended warranty so shop around.

We ordered an 04 E500, that is being built today, and we are definitely getting an extended warranty from Lisa. She beat the price from the dealership by quite a bit. Definitely worth the e-mail.

Supposedly, you have a year from car pickup to decide on whether to buy extended warranty. Mentioned this to dealer when I brought my original car, and w/o a lot of haggling the cost of 7 years/100,000 extended warranty was dropped to about $1800 for me. Perhaps, they took pity on me since I paid full retail on car last Oct.
