HELP 06 E500 Grinding at acceleration
Ok, so here is my story. If I am at a dead stop and I gradually accelerate I have no issue. However, if I am at a dead stop and I push the gas pedal too hard I will get a strong grinding/vibration sound. It stops on its own or immediately stops if I let off the gas. Now, if I am already in motion I never have this issue. And, if I start up slowly there is no grind.
When I hear the grinding/vibration there is no jerking, stuttering, or delays. It is just a grinding sound. Almost sounds like it is on the left side.
Also, there is no report of smoke or any burning smells.
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I'm actually losing sleep over this. Thank you MBW readers.

Very hard to diagnose from my vantage point, too many check this and check thats. My suggestion is put the car on a lift duplicate the sequence that produces the noise and then have the guy on the ground endeavor to locate the source----fix the source and carry on!!

i have that in my e55. When i stomp on the gas pedal, get a delayed grinding sound for a split second or so and then the car takes off. Got the front end checked and not wheel bearing. Not sure what it its either but doesnt sound right.
