HID Fog lights??

Would this cause any type of malfunction light? I was going to by a hyper white H11 HID kit, but figured I would ask first before making the purchase. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chops

HIDs run the same as normal bulbs - shouldn't cause an issue if you buy the correct version (CANBUS). Some "kits" require adapters or relays for this reason. DDMTuning comes to mind. Great kit, but needs a relay.

Thanks for the reply, I actually did some reading... Somehow didn't see the sticky above, so I am going to order a kit now...

Awesome. Just to give you a heads up - DDM Tuning has their colors a little off. My 4500K kit looks like what most other 5000K kits do. So be mindful.

From what I read in the sticky above... Seems as though I could get away with any HID kit so as long as I add a small capacitor or relay... Can anyone confirm this before I place my order?

If I have to dish out the extra $$ for Canbus I will, but if a regular kit will work with a relay or capacitor id rather save the money. I have no issue wiring either of those in to the system, ultimately I don't want a malfunction light on the dash. So the question is if I can accomplish that with either route.

If you want to save money buy this canbus ballast. I have it on my low beam for past 3 weeks. so far so good. no error msg and no flickering. Later i am going to change to retrofit source hid.

A ton of HID kits now come with the capacitor included, just look for the "No Error" ones and you'll be fine. I added HID fog lights that are the same color as my headlights and couldn't be happier.
