Hood emblem hole size??

I have an 04 320 and would like to replace the oem hood ornament with an oem flush mount. Does anyone know what size emblem I need to purchase or from what model one would fit my vehicle?

Thanks

just look in ebay and search for W211 hood emblem. size is pretty much standard if you type in the year model of your car.

It's 45mm diameter if you want it to fit flush inside the divot like the base of the standing star. I had bought one of the Ebay flush emblems and it yellowed pretty quickly so I put the standing star back on. If you find a nice quality one, please let us know your source and post pictures.

Not sure of size...but the emblem I got from the dealer is a universal to most of the newer cars. I believe the guy said it was from a C or CLS. Either way...it's the same plastic emblem my ML uses.

The ones that the dealer sells will not fit flush within the divot. They are larger than the divot, so they will cover the divot and therefore stick up a bit. If that doesn't bother you, then I would get the one the dealer sells.

Correct. It does bother me...but for $20 - I could live with it. Better than replacing the star when some asswipe in Baltimore rips it off.
