2008 E350 4matic Sport
4matic staggered setup
Help. I have a 2008 E350 4MATIC Sport that I purchased CPO. I'm replacing tires for first time since purchase in 2011. The car came from dealership with 245/40 18 fronts and 265/35 18 rear. When I look in the door frame of drivers side, it indicates that tires should be 245/40 18 for front and rear.
I assume that in order to pass CPO that the setup is ok? I've read other threads that have said that this should not be done, but in my case I'm dealing with the equipment that came on a CPO car.
My questions is, should I replace the tires with all 4 same size per the instruction on the door of the vehicle or replace with the same setup?
I guess bigger in the back looks cool, but I don't want to mess with the drive train.

2008 E350 4-matic sport tires
According to Tirerack.com 245r4018 tires are what the car came with. The tires you now have were standard on the E350 sport. Either the tires you know have on the car, or what the door sticker shows should be fine. I don't think that there is a huge difference between the diameters of the tires. If there was then your wheel speed sensors would show a fault code. If you went with the OEM size tire you would be able to rotate them.
