NEED HELP: Anyone replaced their own Camshaft Magnets on their E550 or S550?

Hello Guys,

In the middle of replacing Camshaft magnets, I replaced two on the passenger side already, however the one by the drive side is very hard to reach, mainly because the coolant aluminum block was blocking it. Any advise how to get to those two sensors?

Also another question, how do you remove the oil filter cap? Do you screw counter clock wise like you normally do?

Very confusing, however if you are talking about the R and L camshaft solenoids and hall sensors then for the drivers side you must remove the power steering reservoir to remove the sensors. That takes a special tool and some patience and experience!!

You do not need to remove the filter housing, or the power steering reservoir. You just need to buy an E8 wrench to loosen, and tighten the bolts. Removing the hall sensors will afford enough room to get your fingers in there to spin them.
