What brand balljoint, Engine Mount and Transmission Moun to use?
Hi,
i have to replace ball joints, Engine mounts and transmission mounts for my 2004 Mercedes E320 and i have searched all over but couldn't really find a decent answer.
what Brand of ball joints should i use?
what Brand of engine and transmission mounts should I use?
There are so many aftermarket brands out there and I'm not sure if i should use the original Mercedes Brand or is there any other aftermarket brands which last longer and are better then genuine brand.?
please let me know if you have experienced any.

MBWorld Fanatic!
for ball joints - Moog. Why not use Mercedes parts from dealer on the mounts.

If you want to use genuine ball joints, you can use Lemforder, a division of ZF, and are the OEM makers of the Mercedes ball joints and control arms. The difference between a Lemforder and a genuine Mercedes ball joint, is that the Mercedes ball joint is a Lemforder ball joint with an added Mercedes tri-blade stamp on it and a Mercedes part number.
For my car (W211 E55, with the separatable upper ball joint), I used the following:
1. Upper ball joint: Lemforder 003301007 ($45/each from autohausaz.com) [relatively easy fix with the right tools]
2. Lower ball joint: Meyle Heavy Duty 2113300235MY ($47 each from autohausaz.com) [definitely beefier than the Lemfoerder model; harder fix, and must use a press tool rental from Autozone to press it out of the lower steering knuckle]
For the transmission and motor mounts, I heard that the Corticos are the OEM. I bought the Mercedes ones, but based on what I've seen, the Corticos would be the way to go for pricing and OEM quality (found this out too late).

Some websites says it's the same and they both work? Is it true?
