2007 MB E350
My 2007 E350

Can some one pls help figure this issue I am having with my E350. Some times when I put my car on drive, it doesn't accelerate correctly, it will give me a very high gear sound, but it does not move gears. I have to turn it off and re start it for it to start moving into different gears. Dunno what the problem might be.

I think so, I don't know what model that car is. I am just tired of all the issues I am having with the car. I thought the E class is the better model

I have similar problem. my car was stuck in a gear. I tried to accelerate and my rmp won't go above 3k. I tried to shift down or up manuelly, nothing happen. i have to restart the car to drive normal. Talked to my mechanic, he said it my be transmission control unit or speed sensors or both.

Sounds like all you guys are looking for a cheap inexpensive way to solve your transmision problem-----wow when you bought what you thought was a cheap MB are you in for a suprise--------any ways the first thing you can do is make sure the fluids are at the correct level-----you do have the tool???after that it's off to the indy where he will have to read the transmission faluts-----then fix the problem and you get on with your life!!

E350 Sedan Sport
I just had this fixed on my car (E350 2006). It was a speed sensor issue on the transmission. Replaced was the valve body and the conductor plate assembly ($1700). In my case it cost more than it should because MB has changed the valve body and I had to get a new style valve body in order to sync with the new cond. plate. So, I don't know if that will be the case with a 2007.

BTW My symptoms were exactly the same as the OP.
