Water in Oil (Milky Oil) W211 Gas Vol. FML
Did my first oil change a few weeks ago after buying the car and noticed that on the bottom of the oil cap and inside the oil filler neck housing there is milky oil residue. I haven't driven it except for a few times like when I first bought it (repairing light front end damage) but it runs fine and passed smog already. The milky residue is only on the oil cap, not in the filter, and not in the oil in the bottom of the block when checked with the dip stick. I'm praying this is just condensation and not the beginning of a blown head gasket or cracked head problem. Car has 119k, doesn't over heat, and none of the cooling system suffered damage from the impact. Anyone seen this before in these engines? I asked one Merc Dismantler in my area and he said those engines are pretty bullet proof. Thanks in advance.

Have the oil tested for glycol, and check the coolant for oil.
If both are ok, it is just condensation.
Take longer drives.
