Car is shifting itself into Neutral whilst Driving
Hi all
Have a new development since yesterday.
Was driving along and pushing the throttle got revs but no acceleration.
Coincidentally, I was on the MFD screen that shows the current gear selection, as I was monitoring my Voltage and I saw it jump to N..so moved the gear selector to N and then back to D, and it was fine after.
...for a bit and then happened arbitrarily at least 4 times during the next 30 minutes, both at standstill and in motion.
It's not shuddering, jerky or sharp and if not expecting it, wouldn't know when it slips into Neutral.
Normal acceleration off the line is crisp as usual with no slippage.
Put it on a Diagnostic "thing" and it showed no error codes either..?
What could this be?
Less Oil? Clogged Filter?...something more...?

Out Of Control!!

The reason your diagnostic thing did not show any faults is that it is crapola and will not read the MB transmission faults---find someone with factory equal software!!
But before I did that I would check the simple things like my fluid level and shifter bushing!!
PS: possibly to harsh with the verbage---therefore changed crap to crapola!!

Thank you for your response.
I know my Bosch KTS-540 isn't as good as a dedicated STAR setup, but didn't know it was "crap"..
Anyway, I will check on the fluid levels today.

It runs for a bit after moving the Gear Selector into N and then back into D..
However, I tried putting the gearbox in W from the usual S mode and for some reason, it did not shift into Neutral..!
What is happening to this thing...could this be related to the following..
I have had my entire front suspension overhauled, again.
After the car was ready, I saw the ABS/ESP warning was on and the little triangle would blink even if I touched the throttle, the only way to move was to hit the ESP OFF switch..which would turn itself off after a bit and then pop the ABS/ESP warning again, but the car would run normally...until the gearbox issue started. The Bosch pulled up a front Right ABS sensor failure, I proceeded to replace the sensor, but the error is still showing up.
