Access to MB Service Records?
Good Afternoon,
I am in the hunt for an E63 AMG and have my eye on a 2009.
I was wondering if anyone had access to provide MB Service Records or could suggest the best approach to getting them from a dealer?
In case anyone on here has access and would be gracious enough to provide them, the VIN on this car is:
WDBUF77X19B375018
Thank you

Request Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI) for VIN claiming you would like to see if all service requirements are up to date and thinking about using dealer to maintain vehicle. Here is the datacard.

Thanks for the help guys.
konigstiger you provided a datacard for another vehicle. The VIN appears to be different and it is for an E55. I'd greatly appreciate the one for my car, I am guessing you do a bunch of these and attached the wrong file. Thank you.
jandmtv, the Carfax report is pretty detailed, but I have a feeling there are limits to what the report provides.
Specifically, I am trying to find out if the rotors have been replaced. My Carfax indicates the brake pads were changed and a brake service was performed around 32k miles. I'm not sure the Carfax will go into detail for the rotors. I doubt the dealer would do a brake pad job without doing the rotors on an E63.
Thank you

Not all the work is show on CarFax.
Asking the dealer who did the prepurchase inspection or local dealer with the question "what service are needed now and what has been done? I found out the dealer(s) replaced the battery and brake pads, but they were not on the CarFax. Also said that the tires were replaced with OEM tires about 20,000 miles ago, but was not on MBZ's records. They would not give a hard copy citing privacy rules.

Thank you. According to the Carfax this was a lease and serviced at one dealer for the entire duration. I would love an updated data card. I was hoping that some MB service techs frequented this board and could provide the records. My next step is to approach my local MB Dealer and request the records as I will be bring it to them for the pre-inspection and service.
Thank you.
Thank you.

The pre-purchase inspection cost about $250 from MBZ dealer and should document what was checked and the results, but my inspection did not have the proper documentation. It just had a list of what is wrong. Before you agree to the inspection ask that the detail service record be included. I had to repeated call them to extract a little bit of info each time.
As far as I know the data cards are not updated. It's a listing of what was originally on the car when it left the factory. If your in the USA and have a credit card, you can get access to the data card at http://epc.startekinfo.com/ to open a free account. The credit card is to prove you have a US address.

With adaptive headlights, they only turn in one direction when you turn your car. Like my e60 550i. The headlights turn with the steering wheel but only to the right. They won't turn left so they don't blind oncoming traffic. Maybe that's what the right hand stands for? The direction the headlights will turn in?

Ah, that makes sense. I'm a newb to MB and all these newfangled fancy options.
This will by my daily driver, guess I need to keep educating myself and pucker up for maintenance costs. Buying a 100k extended warranty in case disaster strikes.
Thanks!

2005 E500 4matic
Hello,
I am new to the MB world just having bought a 2005 E500 4Matic. The car runs great and looks great with one known problem, and that is a bad engine oil sensor which I will have replaced at its next oil change. I have two questions, if I may:
A little background on the first question. I am , or used to be, a pretty good shade tree mechanic so, knowing that I have to replace all the air filters (engine, cabin, etc), I looked up which filters fit my car on a number of different sites and ordered three sets, all of which, according to the filter manufacturers and parts stores, indicated 2005 E500 W211 fitment. I also looked up what instructions I could find on the net and printed them out. Every place I visited on the web said there were three sets of filters needed, engine (2), cabin (1) in the engine compartment, and charcoal activated cabin (2) under the glove box. Lo and behold, when I went under the glove box, there were no filters present. In reading some of the topics in MB world forum, there are conflicting reports/answers concerning the topic of charcoal filters under the dash. Some say there are 2 filters located there and some say that between the years 2003 and 2005 the under-dash filters were eliminated. And that is my first question, are there any air filters under the dash/glove box on a 2005 E500 W211? If I have jumped into the wrong thread for this topic, I’d appreciate knowing the correct thread so I can clear this mess up one way or the other.
My second question is the same as adlong’s at the beginning of this thread. I was wondering if anyone had access to provide MB Service Records or could suggest the best approach to getting them from a dealer?
In this case, I was wondering if I could impose on konigstiger to provide the datacard. The VIN on this car is: WDBUF83J75X170789.
Thanks very much for any help you folks can provide.

EPC shows your VIN is not equipped with under dash filters (see diagram, 310 is grayed out). OEM part #s for dust filter located in engine compartment 2118300018, engine 2730940404.

for the data card and part list.
One MB dealer did not give infor to carfax. So I used a combination of MB service records and carfax. When in doubt, I changed the fluid if service interval passed and it was not recorded, e.g., ATF service. Some I will just wait for the next service interval, e.g. fuel filter.
As for getting the service record from the MB dealer, most of the service advisors will not give a print out but will give it verbally. Just explain that your just purchased the car and want to know what needs to be done and the estimated cost.

MBUSA MY03-04 4-zone AC had a dedicated button to activate charcoal filter with LED indicator incorporating a filter-flap adjustment motor to evaporator housing. - doubt you can add under dash filter.

I was thinking that during the recirulating mode that a filter, maybe 3M filtrate type, can be used to filter out particulates and lint. Cleaning the air and keeping the blower and evaporator cleaner. Does not need to be a HEPA.

You mean I spent all this money on my Mercedes air conditioning and it doesn't need to filter out particles while preserving crisp, clean taste?
