Audio 50 -> Comand NTG1 - Bass cutout at speed.

Anyone else experienced this?

When parked (ie. in P), the bass and low end response is amazing and you can feel it. However, once driving up to speed I notice it dials the bass back a LOT. The bass settings are cranked to max on the HU. My original Audio 50 never did this. It sounded great while in park and moving. Car has Harman Kardon package and L7.

I'm really not happy with the current sound output and considering going back to my Audio 50 if this can't be resolved. The sound is so shrill and not warm/bassy as it used to be

Isn't all audio processing done by the audio gateway, and not by the head unit, regardless if Audio 50 or COMAND? If so, then head unit isn't likely the problem.

Pose the question in the Audio section and someone is bound to answer it.

Thanks for the responses.

Turns out after a whole day of driving, the bass response is back and the system sounds fantastic again. Guess there was some acclimation going on? I dunno. All is well now though

Could be signs of the amp going out. But since it's back now, enjoy it.
