E500 hard shifting
Here is an E500 for sale here locally that I am debating just to have to mess around in, but while the car is not warm or at full operation temperature the transmission shifts hard/jerks into second gear. Once the car reaches normal temperature it shifts normally. I have searched and read about the cooling lines, but it doesn't make sense as to why the shifting issue goes away when warm. The car does have high mileage seeing as how it has 151k miles, which I wish was lower, but it would be a nice car to have to keep mileage off other vehicles. Also did all E500's have airmatic? This one does and I could do without having that, although the suspension is okay on the car at this point.

This place is a joke.
All the 500s have airmatic. At that mileage, and with the hard shift, consider the transmission will need to be replaced soon when negotiating a price. Im guessing $2000-$6000 for a used or new trans and converter

I think at this point you have worked yourself up over nothing, because you haven't got the FFI as to why the shift is delayed, and it ain't coolant, but could just be a gummed up shift solenoid
I would be more worried about the Airmatic, cause it is going to go and that is expensive.
The car should be taken for a good scan and inspection
