Arnott long term reliability?
I replaced my front units on my 2003 E500 with Arnotts exactly 2 years ago.
Tuesday the pass front began leaking completely down within 4 hours when the car is in the normal ride height setting.
My Bilstiens did this just prior to failure so I tried the same temp solution, set the ride height to the UP or rissen position and let it set overnight, whalla did not leak down....96 hours later I made the mistake of not parking it in the UP ride height setting, and now both fronts are down. I can drive in the UP ride height and it will not leak down if left in that position...I have tested it to 24 hours.
Well I have a brand new pump installed 4 months ago, so the car is back up within 15 seconds of pressing the unlock button or opening the door.
Now my question. I have about 25K miles on these new Arnotts, and I got them a month or two after Arnott released them, so I am wondering if anyone else has had any issues?
They answered the phone and said they would have me a quote to ship out advanced replacements so I can continue to drive it...of course I will be out $1,300 until I ship the failed units back on my own dime.
When I got my new Arnott rears (a week after release), one arrived with an internally leaking solenoid, they shipped a replacement out immediately and solved the issue. Rears have no issues and I am at 18 months right now.
Any advice on longevity issues? Should I include Arnott in my speed dial?
