Where is the lighting sensor for the day/night mode???

Question Where is the lighting sensor for the day/night mode???

Does anyone know where the sensor is for the Day / Night mode for the dashboard controls?? (ie - Climate control brightness, Command display..

JUST CURIOUS where the sensor or sensors are..

I believe it is on the top of your windshield, integrated together with the rain sensor. I checked my sensor by putting a flash light on the sensor at night and you will see the interior brightness change.

I8hotdogs is correct. I found out after it stopped working correctly. Dealer replaced the sensor unit and it's been fine. Sometimes I think the auto headlights and dash sensors are a bit too sensitive but I like the feature.

Mine arent sensitive. My M3 kicks headlights on under small overpass, E500 doesn't. At night, works fine.
