Stupid question, What are the 2 center buttons in the rear dome light?
Sorry for the stupid question, but I cannot find anywhere in the manual. The rear dome light has a left and right button for the reading lights. But what are the 2 center buttons do? When I hit them nothing happens.
Thanks.
Thanks.

What brightness do you guys set it as? I think the ambient lighting is cool as hell, but I play with it so much, the front and back are at different levels. Is there anyway to get them to match again?

lol, whenever im in the back i also play with it. i think we set the front to 4. we like it a lil bright in the front, then in the back, we have it a little dimmer, its pretty hard to match, but it looks cool when both are pretty equal

so let me get this straight....
the FRONT overhead halo light is controlled in "steps" via the LIGHTING mode from the stearing wheel...OFF 1 2 3 4 5.
The REAR overhead halo light is NOT controlled from the LIGHTING mode like the front?
The REAR halo lights are controled from that unit itself?
And you can also control intermitent intensitiesin the REAR, not just ramp up to full bright and ramp down to a fixed setting?
It seems that my REAR is at a fixed setting. I do know that it does NOT varry in intensity as I adjust the FRONT throgh the Menu on the MFD.

Ambient light setting
Yes, the front ambient lights are controlled in steps from the steering wheel. The rear ambient light is controlled only by the little buttons on the light and is continuously adjustable.
I prefer to have the cabin as dark as possible when driving at night so have the ambient lighting turned off. I also would prefer to have more adjustment of the instrument lighting. I would turn off the multifunction display and turn the rest of the instrument lights lower than the current minimum setting.

Rear ambient lighting
I can't find any description of the rear ambient lighting in the owner's manual. I can tell you I observed the continuous dimming of the light when pressing the little button.

Jim-
If you are meaning that when one of the buttons is pushed it will ramp up to full bright and when another button is pressed is will ramp down to a preset level. Iam aware of that. What I want to know is, are you able to adjust various levels of brightness from those buttons...in other words...are you able to get the various levels of brightsness by repititious pushing of the button?
If you want a slightly brighter or darker effect can you just press/hold button until that effect is obtained then release that button causeing the brightness to stay at that interm settining?

Rear ambient lighting
Capt Mike,
I was able to hold down the "dim" button and watch the light go from bright to off but it takes several seconds. If I hold the button down and let go, it will stay at whatever level it was at when I let go of the button. The "bright" button works the same way. It seems to take a couple of seconds of holding the button down before any change takes place.
