Trouble with Valve Cover Gaskets

Trouble with Valve Cover Gaskets
The valve cover gaskets were seeping on my 2004 E500 4matic so I decided to replace them.
I did try the Victor Rienz gaskets, the driver side sealed fine with no issues, passenger side leaked(nice smell of burning oil). I chalked it up to education and found the OEM gaskets online, there is a visible difference in height and thickness.
I thought this would solve my issue, but it did not. I have the same area leaking, on the back passenger side of the motor, between the 3rd and 4th spark plug.
I am not a firm believer in using gasket additives like yamabond, gaskets are designed to work by themselves, but I did try and I am still having issues in the same area.
Is there something I have missed or am I doing this incorrectly? It is pretty straight forward, right?
The bolts are being torqued to 7 LBS. I am cleaning the valve cover and head.
In advance, thank you for any input,
Craig
