well I got back from a pretty long spin to Houston and back, my car went from 50 miles to almost 400 in one afternoon. Couple of notes:

1. Drive Dynamic seats are awesome...on curves, you can really feel them working, they almost feel like someone sitting next to your seat pushing against your sides keeping you straight up in the seat...way cool.

2. Lot of people have posted on the forum that they can't tell if their AVS cooling function works. We had the pano roof shade open, and it was a sunny day, car started to warm up a little. Turned on the AVS cool function and within 3-4 minutes, the seats noticeably cooled off, felt like someone put ice under our seats. I had 3 other collegues in the car, all noticed the difference...also way cool..

3. Unless I'm using it wrong, the pulse/massage feature is quite lame. Just pushes in and out on your lower back a little. I was expecting more.

E-500
I agree that the DD seats are great. I also agree that the pulse feature is lame. Maybe we are both using it wrong but I have a hard time even knowing if it is on...and even the location of the pulse.

Anyone have a great experience with the pulse?

SL500
Our pulse in the S500 (2002) we just sold was very noticable and on our new SL500 (which has a similar seat pad to the S-500 and seat back to the DD E500 it is much less noticable. Maybe it has something to do with the configuration of seat back?

And unless I'm doing something wrong, I really only feel the pulse in the lower back area, not upper back at all. In fact it seems to do the same thing as just moving the lower lumbar in and out.

congratulations.

finally, you got yours. enjoy it -- both my wife and I loves it (she still complains roll-back issue -- I hope MB can provide SBC-hold for US models.)

I agree rollback is kind of annoying...I live on a hill, my driveway has a pretty good slope, and it does roll back if I let off the brake.
