Where is the gateway module?

Where is the gateway module?
I have a 2003 E320 and I would like to know where the Audio Gateway Module is located. Will this component cause my stereo system not to come on at all? If not, what are the usual causes if I have not observed any blown fuses?
Also is this the only module in the car called the Gateway module?
Thanks, Andy

No!
However, the system you refer to is very complicated electronically---you will save much of your time and ours guessing at the problem without a solution.
You need to get the car scanned by someone with factory or equal software. You will quickly learn the problem and solution---I know that ain't free!!

Wow, really? Your solution is to get the car scanned because the radio does not come on?
This is my second post and both times you "Plutoe" have replied with somewhat arrogant and sarcastic responses. Instead of being that way don't you think it would have been better and more civilized to just say where the part was and answer my question? After all, I did clearly state what the problem with the car was.
Never had this experience on any other Forum. As much as I love this car I certainly hope it isn't a Mercedes thing that I don't understand. Now that I think of it I get the same treatment and feeling at the Mercedes Benz dealership.

There is a picture that shows where the AGW is in the link below.

I assume by not coming on you mean no power going to the headunit? This sounds more like a fuse than the AGW.

There is a fuse in the rear for the audio gateway as I recall...pulling it would cause that issue. I would first check fuses. If they are all good...do as he said and have it scanned.

Thank you for the informative link and advice. I looked in the location in the trunk where the picture showed the AGM. All I see in that area, behind the rear SAM, is the amplifier for the stereo system. Is the AGM part of the Amp or is that really the AGM?
I will check all fuses in that area as well once I go back down to the shop.
Once again thanks for your input.

Audio Gateway (amplifier) is one unit if fuses are fine as you claim problem could be any device on MOST ring (explained in previous link) for MY03 AGW is most common cause - definitive diagnose have someone with SDS check for fault code(s) as Plutoe recommended.

If it turns out to be the AGW your local dealer may have a re manufactured unit, or you can find these on ebay as well. If using ebay, make sure numbers match. In either case, it will take someone with SDS to code the AWG to your car.
