Minimum diameter (steel?) wheels on 2005 E500?

I'm looking at a 2005 E500 4matic wagon. As I'd like to run several tire sets, I'm particularly interested in OEM steel wheels for winter tires. Is there a minimum diameter (as to not interfere with brakes) I can look for?

These are all 5x112 wheels OEM correct? Is the offset consistent through the years?

The stock wheels are 16"...they should be easy and cheap enough to find.

Yes, that pattern is correct. Same as most VWs. You shouldn't have a problem finding wheels.
