Trunk Reset Question

Trunk Reset Question
My keyless trunk wasn't functioning properly and I was getting the license plate light and 3rd brake lamp message, etc.
I followed an earlier thread and went into the wiring in trunk. I reconnected the brown wire. Now I have power to the trunk but I cant open it with the remote or from the inside.
For some reason, I still have to use the actual key into the trunk. Do I need to do something else or am I missing something? Once in the trunk, the close buttons work to close it automatically. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Trunk switch is inside the latch mechanism unless you have automatic trunk closing option. Here some info
