airmatic.

airmatic.
Just recently I ran over something that went from the front to the rear of my car and blew out the drivers side rear tire. 2 days later I noticed that the hose from the filter from the airmatic pump was hanging there. I have tried to trace every hose and wire and can't seem to find out where it went to. Checked all the diagrams and they just are not that helpful. Can someone post a pic of where the end of hose should attach to. It's a 2008 e550 base. The pump is on the drivers side in front of the wheel.

Thanx for the reply. That's actually a really good piece of info. My problem is on the outlet of the filter, where's that connect into. I was under the car for an hour and found absolutely nothing! I really don't want to take it in just for that. I really need a pic of what that hose connects into.

I haven't taken my car apart to look, but I don't think the hose needs to attach to anything. I think what you're looking at is the inlet to the filter, not the outlet.
The filter is on the inlet to the compressor, so the outlet line from the filter runs directly to the compressor, and the inlet line to the filter simply runs to atmosphere. All it needs to do is go to a location that ideally is protected from incoming dirt and moisture, and I think the splash shield should do fairly well at that. (And now that I'm reminded of where that inlet is, I'll be even less likely to run through the depths of water I see people doing on the news these days. Water doesn't compress very well.)
