Easy entry not working anymore :(
Hi guys , got a bit of an issue recently , I'm not overly fussed just upset that it no longer works.
When I put the key in the seat use to move forward and steering wheel would come down. The steering wheel still comes down but the seat no longer moves
, and when I take the key out the stewing wheel moves back down but the seat remains in my memory normal setting. All the seat buttons still work fine , up down , back front. Just easy entry:exit stopped working , I unplugged the battery for 30 mins and reconnected .. Didn't fix it. My merc is a 03 e320 , avantgarde

If feature is set properly (according to manual) try seat reset:
- outside vehicle / door open
- key to ON position 2
- move seat to furthest forward position, hold for 10 – 15 seconds
- press memory button you have your settings set to and allow it to adjust to set position
- get in while seat is in your set driving position, close door, then turn key to off position and remove
If this does not work find someone with SDS (independent, fellow member, dealer) to check/reset in addition, I believe an adjustment is available to increase furthest rear position back a bit more

Is it possible to elaborate on what SDS is ? I'm in Sydney Australia and the dealers mb dealers here will tear me a new one just for a check up , is there any ways around that to have this issue resolved ?

I guess I have no way around it so I'm willing to give it a go. Hopefully it will show the correct errors associated with the easy entry option.
