Mod Chips

Anyone have any experience with the mod chip evosport offers for around $900?
They say it will not void the warranty and that you gain about 17 at the wheel.
Will I have to use special fuel and if so what will happen if I don't once or twice.

Any other chips? Or inexpensive mods for descent gain (15+)?

I think Evosport sells the Powerchip. I got it on mine, but directly from Powerchip, and don't really know if I would recommend it. Worse thing is that they (Powerchip) promised that the top speed limiter would be removed, and it is not. I have contacted them many times in the past 9 months, and they say they are still working on it! I think it may have quickened the car a bit (i have clocked 5.6 to 60 mph on my g-tech), but I don't know what is attributed to the Powerchip, and what to the intake and exhaust mods I have done. Every little bit helps, but to do it again I would want assurance the speed limiter was removed as well. good luck

What exactly do they do to increase the power? ie. change/lean the air/fuel ratio, firm the shift points, increase the rev limiter? Is there any other chip out there besides Powerchip?

My guess would be that it adds a degree or two of timing, and takes the rev limiter out of the picture. It would be hard to lean out the motor without having the specific AFR of the car, because two cars don't run alike. Then it becomes a liability deal with the company that makes the PowerChip. Just my .02
Happy Holidays!!!!

I had tried to contact Upsolute in March, but got no response from the individual above. Do you know if their ECU upgrade removes the top speed limiter?
