E500 Owners Manual
I have been browsing mercedes-benz.com trying to find similar manual for my C class (W203). Is there a similar manual for it? Or tell me how to get to the url you sent, may be I can try the same thing for the C class.
Thanks,
Hi Fastbuck:

Thanks,
I can't help I'm afraid. It was a fellow member on the Roadfly W211 board that supplied the link to me. It may be worth posting on a few of the W203 boards just in case someone can offer you a link there.
Sorry
Martin

Had some spare time, so took the online manual and assembled it all into one .pdf file, complete with bookmarks. Not sure if that is completely kosher with MB, but I find it useful for searching and keeping my own notes within the .pdf file. Anyway, I've put it here for next day or two... PM me after that.
BTW, I notice that the manual is for a Euro spec E; e.g., manual gear box and Euro COMAND HU.
Can anyone guide me to a link to read the owners manual for the e500 on line??? My 500 is weeks out, but would like to read-up on it now.... Thanks in advance.
Great job, Interpol. This will be real handy.

Being able to do a text search within Acrobat saves me the frustation of trying to find an answer in the paper manual. Now wouldn't it be cool if MB put the manual inside COMAND and your could search/browse from there :p
Yeah, this was ripped from the German website mentioned earlier in this thread. I don't know why MB doesn't make a convenient download for US/Europe... perhaps some liability issue, or because they want to charge for replacement manuals

Well, it's always good to dream. Maybe someday . . .
Right now, I'll settle for a Nokia phone integrated with COMAND.
looks like you have appearance package (US) and standard E500 wheels.. interesting.
In the UK the equivalent of the appearance package is referred to as the Avantgarde model which comes with the same wheels as your appearance package. The 17" twin-5 spokes that I have are a COST option in the UK. I personally prefer the look of them.
I am however astounded by the MB philosophy of having 2 sets of wheels that are identical other than they come as 16" or 17". It would make much more sense to have offerings that were substantially different.
I believe the standard wheels for the E320 and E500 were the same in 2003 other than size (16" vs 17"). For 2004, the wheels are different in both size and appearance.
True but the "cloned" 16s and 17s are still around for other models.
I dont like the appearance wheels, rather have 17" standard as well

Fantastic job. Thanks a bunch for putting the whole thing together, and bookmarking it to boot--much for efficient from my perspective as well. Thanks again.
