Finally, after all that time, I went to the dealer today --- took 4 hours to finish the paperwork, car-prep, etc.... well worth it.
Ok, here is the deal... despite some other posts I have read in the past ...
The 2004 E320 has white dials on the dashboard and the Sport, now called the Appearance Package does not have the 'Sport' badges on the left and right fenders nor the shift knob. I asked my salesman if he would look into getting them to me from an 03 and he said he would.
Car MSRP was 56k -- got the car for 52k-- 1600k inceptions; 3k cap cost... payment $600p/m... Not too shabby.

Sweet...congrats! Hopefully mine will come with white dials too....today the dealer told me my car is on the truck from Baltimore and on its way to Chicago......the wait is killing me! :p

Congrats! Somewhere, on some highway, in front of some diner, or at some rest area is the truck with my car in it. I just hope it doesn't stop at Lionhead's dealer Chicago before it hits central PA.

I've seen multiple sport models (appearance package) of the 2004 E in both sedan and wagon variants. All have had the white dials just like 2003. Some have had the sport badge on the forward fenders (I didn't check the gear shift) though most did not. At first I thought this was a change that was phased in after some point in time, however, I just saw a sport wagon show up at a dealer last week with the sport badges on the front fenders. Either this was an early production model that just took a long time to get delivered or there is some type of random force dictating which cars show up with the badges and which don't.

I think I must have had one of the earliest 2004 Es in the U.S. (as a result of the 2003 Nav Fiasco). Most of my posts regarding my experience have been lost in the multitude of crashes that we have suffered in the last few months--but I do remember posting that my car had the Sport badges (why would ANYone want those) and the white dials.
The dials truly set the car apart. My non-Sport/Appearance friends are always green with envy when they sit in the car

It is a lease, 39months; 12kp/y. Again, I put down 3k cap cost reduction ... the payment would have been 670 but got it down to 600p/m.

NRealm - i ran your numbers (56K sticker, 52K SP), and it should've come out to just under $645/m (including NJ tax) with no CAP reduction , based on Nov. numbers, which did not change in Dec., as far as I know. Do you know what your money factor and the residual were?

Actually, you are right -- unfortunately I do not have all of the paperwork in front of me... I believe the residual value at the end of the least was still approx 36k.
Forgot to mention that he threw in the wood wheel ($700) and the all season rubber mats for free.
BTW - that map that was posted is hilarious !
