Hi guys I wish to lower my w211

Hi all , I just got new amg rims put on my e320 and since the profile of the tire is smaller the gap between the wheel and the guard really stands out. Thus people have been advising me to get it lowered for pure aesthetics nothing more.

My question is , what springs should I purchase ? And from where ? If someone can please link ebay or a site that whorls be really helpful. Is there any particular springs that would go good with mercedes ? Ride quality etc..

If you use this kit it will eat the inside of the tires faster?

I know it replace the arms on the ride height sensors different lengths different ride height.
So as long as you have air ride the sensor should be the same (w211). But what I'm worried about is whether or not if it causes worst tire wear in the lower position And what is the kit needed to adjust Camber.

i think the links are for air suspension, since the OP drives an 03 E320, I assume he's got the conventional suspension with shocks and springs. if thats the case, lowering springs or coilovers is the way to go.

Will this damage the air suspension long term?

No just tricks the air ride system into thinking the car is that normal When it's actually lower.

That's right , just got a conventional e320 avantgarde , any suggestions on what lowering springs suit it ? I've been hearing great things about eibach ?

Thanks for all your replies guys

not much difference between Eibach and H&R. I had H&R a few weeks back on my E, rides perfect but i wasnt too happy with the front height so I changed to coilovers. doesnt ride like the H&R but im happy with the stance atm.

Im assuming you're in America so i wont have any ideas. if you were here down under then it wouldnt be a prob. if youre just after an inch drop then springs would be best for you mate.

I know everyone have their own opinions but in my experience if I was you I wouldn't lower it.
You will face more trouble then you think.
First You will loose the comfort ride of the car. Plus tire wear is greater. Your suspension will give up eventually due to the roughness if the ride. These Benz have more electronics then you think they do and my suggestion would be not to even mess with it. But on the other hand if you got money and you are a rich dude then heck with it..go for the mod.
Just my honest 0.2cent.

i get what you mean , plenty of electronics , not worried about tire wear or suspension they are pretty cheap here... but ... the elctronics side .. its not the parts its the $110 each time they hook it up to the comp thats the problem and sometimes even then they are unsure of what the prob is . like a few weeks ago i kept on having the error messege regarding the ABS BAS ESP on the screen .. and then one day it just went away ...

Check setup in my signature; lowered and suspension comfort is programmable and controllable in real time. Despite having infinite control over camber, I have negative camber setup due to maximum lowering with staggered tires; just ordered a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 front and rears today, replacing Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. Both front and rears inside edges are showing signs of wear after 30k miles on front and 21k miles on rear, which is brilliant mileage with my setup (rears have more negative camber); I guess it's the price of lowering. Could get more miles if I were to use narrower tires or raise the car a bit but it's fun to be in the middle of silly and absolutely crazy.
