Driver side door lock?
let me start off by saying Hello.
this is my first thread and I love this site and in joy reading what's going on with everyone car and what mods/ repairs need or should be done.
So my main reason for this thing is that I own a 2005 E500 and I started having this door lock problem with driver side.
If I'm in the car with auto lock activated the door will lock but it bounces two or three times before fully locking?
Or if I'm trying to lock the car with the remote (door closed) the car will lock bounce a couple of times and will end up unlocked instead of locked.
Sometimes it works sometimes I have to grab the door handle to keep it from unlocking.
And the weird thing is that the other doors lock but the alarm won't activate so if I open the driver door the alarm won't go off and I know it had before and now it doesn't?
Anyone know if there's a door lock relearn I need to do?

I'm not sure that this is the problem, but I'd try cleaning the parts (solenoids, position switches) with "precision electronics cleaner" and properly lubricating them. I recently fixed a complicated door lock system using this method.
