Spare Tire/Donut for 4Matic Wagon leaking valve stem
My wife hit a pothole in her 4Mtic Wagon yesterday and blew out a tire. So when the auto club installed her spare, she discovered after 30 mins that it had gone flat.
Seems that the valve stem on the donut is leaking. I spent an hour at the local tire shop yesterday while they swapped out valve stems from their parts bin with no success. Apparently it's a very unique valve stem that they had never seen before.
Of course I would prefer to replace the valve stem but based on the rarity of the valve stem, I'm thinking it might be easier to replace the entire donut. But my questions are:
- Does anybody have a part number for this valve stem on the spare donut?
- I've found a couple of W211 Spares on EBay. Does anybody know if a standard W211 spare will fit on a 4Matic Wagon? I guess I can check the part number but it's buried in the trunk.
