Bosch black box on top of the rack in the trunk?
In my 2007 W211 there is a black box installed on top of the rack where the navigation software DVD drive is installed:
It's manufactured by Bosch. What does this do?

It's "A 211 545 89 32". So as mersum1es and konigstiger already mentioned, it is a parking sensors controller unit. Thanks! Am I correct that one can not upgrade this unit to a more advanced one which supports additional features like parallel parking? I'm fairly sure that this is not supported as this probably requires additional sensors, but my 2007 W211 seems to have those only at the front and back.
