Looking to buy 2007 with 137k miles
Located in the SF Bay area.
I'm looking to buy a 2007 E350 sedan (not 4MATIC). It has 137,000 miles on it and the owner is asking $10,500. The body is in good condition with the exception of two dings on the hood where the owner claims it was hit by a golf ball.
I think it has a MP3 multi change upgrade, rear window sun visor, Navigator and P2 package. KBB is $9,300-9,500 for an above average vehicle (top 25 % of vehicles). My plan was to offer $9,000 flat, take it or leave it.
Is that a fair price for a MB with that many miles? What mechanicals should be checked out?

2007 E350 Sedan
Sounds like it could be about the twin of my 2007, including mileage.
Get it inspected and take a look at service records for any past issues. In particular, check to see if it has had the balance shaft issue and if the transmission has been regularly serviced and had any problems (conductor plate and the like).
Nothing spoils a new purchase like a fairly prompt large repair bill...

It was more than worth it to me... that's what matters. Is it worth it to you?
Sounds like a good deal, and you're being wise to ask what issues to look for.... so bump one for the tranny... and balance shaft is always a thing to check.... give us pictures
I've heard someone say expect and be able to spend a couple grand a year in maintenance.. just because... I don't think that's right for most.... maybe for most that talk about it on an internet forum

Out Of Control!!
Drop $125 at a MB dealer for a PPI and pulling of the VMI.
Dents in the hood make it less than "top 25%".
Tire wear need to be good all the way around.
Wheels need to be straight. (If it is a "Sport" with 18: wheels they bend easy)
Seems the way I se it KBB has it as $8,800 to $9,200.
I would start at 8K.
