1. Black (which black is the one on E55 AMG? is it obsedian, jade black)?
2. Tectite Gray

Thanks.
1. silver
2. white
3. black
4. red
I forget the rest, but believe it or not the least popular (or chosen) color was blue.....

The new Granite as well as Pewter look nice too if you want something a little different although they are both colors shared with the C Class. Platinum Blue if you want something unique to the E Class although I have seen an M Class in that color too.
When you say "sport" I assume you are referring to the "appearance package" and not the AMG package. The Appearance Package wheels compliment all of your options but do blend in best with the Silver, Granite, Pewter, and Platinum in my opinion. The AMG style wheels better suit the darker colors, especially the blacks.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
In my case, I already had a white car and a silver one, so the decision was easier.
Have you ever noticed that almost all the Mercedes limosines that serve royalties around the world are Black.
The cool thing about Jade Black is that it looks like 3 different colors, depending on the surroundings. In low light, the car looks black. In overcast or indirect light, from a distance, the car actually looks like a dark gray (similar to Obsidian Black). In direct sunlight, the car is deep metalic forest green.
I've had more comments on the color of my car than anything else. Its also a fairly rare color. Not many people get Jade Black.
Silver is a woefully overdone color. Every Benz I see is silver these days. Try something unique. I am really glad I did.
Jade black!!! I have a Jade Black 320 and I love it.

jade black is definately the way to go...car looks black at night, but looks like a very nice metallic dark green in sunlight (looks awsome in the sun)...pretty much everything else aploato says is true...its unique and very rare compared to silver or any of the other blacks. might be hard to keep clean, though. regardless, i'd go with a darker color, and stay away from silver.
I have a black/black 04 E320 & my wife an obsidian black / black 03 S430 - the difference being since I get to see them sitting side by side in the garage (outside they both look black) the reg. black is a much deeper glossy black - the obsidian is more like a deep black charcoal metallic (schwarz metalik) which is the most popular black sold in Germany - I guess because of the metallic flake. To me you can only appreciate the beauty of the obsidian when the car is absolutely spotless and the sun is shining (where here in texas it does almost everyday) and then you can see the deep yet subtle sheen of the obsidian (obsidian is a volcanic rock) - so it has a deep burgandy tinge to it.
I almost ordered the Tectite which was also one of my favorites - I didnt because one of my friend's did instead and I didnt want to have the same car.
We almost bought an AMG sport package S430 Tectite/stone with Chessnutt wood - talk about sex on wheels - it looked awesome - they wouldnt work with me on the numbers though so we got the obsidian - thos A.holes are still sitting on the beauty of a car 4 months later - serves them right!
