Lets Talk "Real" Performance Mods.....
The cheapest bang for a buck performance upgrade would be the E55. Only $20K more but you get unmatched performance with the security of an MB 4 year warranty.
Heck...you can probably buy a smaller pulley for a few hundred dollars and add even more punch.
Very true.....plus you get the added upgrade suspension, free flowing exhaust, AMG bodykit and quicker shifts.

I saw that video of a 2003 E55 (stock) beating a modded Mustang Cobra which was pumping out I think over 500RWHP. The E55 beat him twice!
Yeah! And for me, I didn't have to watch the video to know that. I did it in my '03 W211 E55 awhile back.

The E320 is really going to be my fiancee's car. I drive a 540iA as a daily car. The E55 was my weekend car before but I wanted to give her the E320, so she doesn't really need 517 ft-lb of torque.

Now I am looking around for a less extreme "fun," weekend car...maybe a Lotus Elise, if the line is short enough to get one or an S2k.
so whyd you trade your e55 in for an e320?
