Maybe Selling my E500

I am thinking of selling my E500 to free up some money for some investments. It has E2 package without Nav and Starmark certified warranty for 5 years 100K from November 2002. Engine mounts replaced. 18K miles. Thinking of selling it for 46-47K. All stock except for 50% tint.

What do you guys think of the pricing?

hey thanks for the prompt reply. Too bad you might sell the car. Well... go make good investments and get an AMG later.

Good luck.

The Autospies website had said something about using a broker to sell your car at auction, and possibly fetch a better price than trade-in or Kelly Blue Book values.

Might want to look for the article at this website.

http://www.autospies.com/

I'm not trying to advertise for them but do find the site informative.

Hopefully this would allow you to sell for above 50k

Not a Benzer anymore
Autospies Used to be super cool

It still is, except now they have a "subscriber" section without ads.

The free website is just way too confusing! But if you can navigate through it, it does have good info.

E500
I think I am going to sell it outright. This will streamline our finances. The next car we will get will be a lease, maybe an SUV. This will allow us to pretty much take the lease payments or depreciation of the new car as a business deduction. Since I did not buy this car new, the deductions on depriciation is minimal according to the tax laws.

As for the auction, my price on the car will be very competitive with wholesale/private party. This is a car that sells well on the internet i.e. cars.com or autotrader. I am trying to price the car about 13000-15000 below what you can buy a new E500 for.
