Looking good! Do those tips have a hole under them?

Nice slide show. How was the installation of the tips? Pretty straightforward? Thanks for the input.

Looks real sharp --- By the look of that one close up shot, it appears that you cannot see the "bend" upwards from the stock tailpipe. What is your opinion on that taking a first hand close look --- can you tell they are "clip-ons" ?

Im currently bidding in a pair right now -- hopefully Ill win.

Thanks

i might be in the minority but it looks weird coming from the bottom of the bumper. it there were holes for the exhaust like the amg bumper it would look better.

I agree that the look is not perfect, but I personally want to do something that is not too expensive or extreme to enahance the sportiness of the car. I would have loved if at least the Appearance Package had come with an exposed exhaust.

I went to a mod place and asked about adding a new exhaust for the car, and it was going to be an expensive venture.

Not bad at all!

I wonder if there are any quads with rolled tips. That would be nice.

Thanks guys.

JM88E500: Yes there is hole that slides up to the exisitng tailpipe.

BMcD-E500: Install was quite easy. More time taken going back and forth ensuring that it was straight. came with 8 screws and allen wrench.

NRealm: There is no bend (or curve, if that is what you mean). You cannot tell unless you view it closely from the side. The one from formymercedes.com looks the same. email them as there is one made by a company called Schatz(?) and that does not fit or look as good. I know because I saw those side by side with what I have now. Mine by the way came in a box marked "GAP". And if you are interested in buying a set of these, make sure that you order part number 49-280MP.

I added a couple of more pictures for your reference:

Did not want to cut the bumper or spend more just to achieve this look for right now. Although Oslo's Quad Pipes look awesome!

does that void any kind of warranty, since you puncture the stock exhaust?

Something like that. Not sure if those are rolled tips though. I know that catback system costs around US$1500.00 which isn't too bad of a price.

It was an AMG Challenge E55 speedometer while we were circling the tri-oval at Daytona last May. The car pulls hard to 155 and I've hit the rev limiter several times. You non AMG W211 guys don't know what you're missing.

Thanks for the part number info. I called them last week, ordered them, installed them, and here's what it looks like. I'm very satisfied with the results.

VERY nice ! Im still waiting for mine to arrive ... cant wait.

Few questions :

How long did it take you to install ?
Did you have to drill any holes ?
Was it difficult to align them ?
Is it noticable that they are clamp on's ?
