Question brake noises

Hey everyone,

I have an '03 E500

when I am slowly applying brakes towards a stopsign/intersection, there is a weird sound coming from up under the dash or in the engine compartment.

At about 10-15 mph I typically hear a "whoosh" sound....followed by a subtle "clunk" between 5 mph and stopped.

This usually only happens the first 1 or 2 stops when the car is warming up in the morning, but it also happens randomly throughout the day.

I just had my SBC replaced about 6 months ago.....and I have new pads/rotors in the front.

I do not think the stopping power is compromised since it doesn't feel worse, it just doesn't sit right with me that these noises occur sometimes.

Anyone ever heard this sound in your car or think of what is causing it?

Thanks
