Question Phone Issues

When I am talking on the speaker phone to some folks their voice sounds real muffled or bass-like. Is ther any way to control the bass and trebel on the speaker phone?

Where is the sound on the speaker phone supposed to come out of? All the speakers or only certain ones? Is there any way to change this?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Brad

I think this is the phone sound quality, not impressive compared to Nokia that I had before. I find the sound muffled even when I am talking on the handset outside of the car.

On a side note, sometimes if I dial on the phone it says connecting.... and then nothing happens and finally it disconnects. I have to remove the phone and re-insert, sometimes it starts working...but the last time this happened, I could not make it start working, so finally I removed the handset and tried to call from the handset itself. That also did not work, on the phone it said connecting... and hung. I powered off the phone handset, powered it back on and then everything worked, and when I re-inserted in the car, it worked to.

Looks like some of these lockup issues are with the handset, not the car kit/comand. Anyone know if the firmware on the phone needs to be upgraded, and how do you do that since it is an MB phone...

The phone integration, while impressive, still leaves a lot to be desired. Many of the friends I call tell me to hang up and call using the handset--it gets insulting after a while.

In the end, it just comes down to electronics. Along with sound quality--COMAND is less than perfect. I have had tons of issues with it on my '04, and don't even ask me about the '03!

I do not know about Motorola, but E-classes with the factory Nokia system should have perfect sound quality. If not, there is something wrong.
