EClass 320 2005, front parking censor fault.
Hi there.
I have had this fault for about two months now, and its driving me mad ! My front left corner censor goes mad at the slightest bit of moisture. First thing in the morning i get the full red lights on the dash and the long tone when i go into reverse and press the brake pedal. I notice it clears up after about a hours usage of the car, i.e. when it gets hot. BUT, at the slightest bit of dampness or rain, the same censor goes into shock and starts bleeping every time i put my foot onto the brake. I know which censor it is, I've cleaned it and there is no damage to it. Can there be a fault behind the bumper ?
Thank you in advance.

If, in fact, erroneous activation is not caused by weather a less sensitive sensor is available – part # 0045428718 (original installed at production 0015427418).

Thank you for your help. The censor only plays up when its damp or wet weather. I have even tried putting the garden hose on the front of the car from dry and the censor goes into error.
