I wonder what will happen to the S430 once E500 comes out.
Any ideas or will it be also retired?

 

Hopefully ones the E500 comes out the S-Class would have already had it's facelift.

Why would you think the S430 would be retired? The E320 went no where after the C320 was introduced.

 

I agree.. although it would seem a little out of place to have an S with a relatively weaker engine especially since the Appointments in the New E are pretty damn close to the S.

 

Some people might just want a larger car... cause they have a bigger family or some other reason.

Seems to me like the New E will be eating a lot of the S 430's business... just that the new E is more luxurious than E's used to be. I think its a good thing for the E class because it is MB's "bread & butter".
This would be akin to getting a C 430...

By the way, does anyone know if Barabus does engine conversions for the C class just like they do for the E and S ?

or is that to keep up with the theme of double headlights....

 

That is after market / modded I think.
