Considering a 2009 e350 with 106k miles
I did some searching and found some good info but I would like to hear from some owners. Particularly folks who have a 09 e350. I am considering trading in my c32 as I am getting older and a heavily modified 400+ hp car and all the maintenance associated with are loosing there appeal. I have had a rental for the last few days and am getting used to cushy ride and amenities. What are some things you like and don't like about the car. Do all of them have air ride or can you get mechanical suspension. The car I am looking at is not 4matic and has 106k on the clock. Is there anything I should look out for in particular to this vintage and miles?
Any help would be great.

My experiences
I have an '09 E350 4Matic Sport. It does not have the pneumatic rear struts...good. After about 65K miles, I can frankly say this is the best sedan I've ever owned, equal to or better than the '95 740iL I had which I considered unbeatable.
It has also been totally reliable. Amazing.
Previously, we've always had big V8 luxury sedans. The 3.5L V6 has "OK" punch, but lacks the kick in the pants of a V8. I don't have a problem with that, though. While the V6's 268hp is more than adequate, the transmission is a 5 speed (the V8s have a 6 speed), and is a bit slow coming off the line.
FYI-highway mileage (70-75 mph) is 26-27 mpg.

Airmatic suspension was an option on the E350, but very few seem to have it. Most all of them are conventional suspension. Airmatic is standard on the E550 though.
The 2wd E350 has the 722.9 7 speed automatic, as does the E550. Mercedes doesn't have a 6 speed automatic.
I have a 2008 w211 that has been a very solid and reliable car. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

For gas mileage, I haven't gotten more than 22-24 mpg on the highway. Usually in mixed city, it's more like 18-20, sometimes as low as 16 if there's lots of traffic. But hey, gas is cheap now, it was well over $3 for super last year.
