Trunk Motor problem

Hi All, New here and hoping you can help me solve a problem with my Trunk Motor.

The Auto close on my trunk has stopped working, I press the button and the latch makes the usual noise to allow it to close but the motor located on the left side of the trunk does not pull the trunk lid down.

I've stripped it down and I can hear a clicking come from the area near the motor when I press the close button but it doesn't do anything else.
I managed to find a replacement motor on eBay for a sensible price and I've replaced it but it's still the same so that means it must be something else.

Any one else had the same problem? Any advice welcome

Thanks

Control unit N121 is responsible for activation of drive motor M15/2 and evaluation of angle detection sensor B24/16. Definitive diagnose pull fault codes with MB DAS, you may need to replace CU – current part 2118703026. Quick search: http://www.usedautopartsyouneed.com/...switch-a211870
