Three defect messages!!
I left my E class Avantegarde at the Airport for a week all was OK my wife collected it a week later and is not sure if she drove it with the parking brake on, as she says it wouldn't pull away at first.
But now the messages are
ESP defective,ABS defective,Service brake, Visit workshop! The car was seviced at Christmas in the UK.
It seems like a lot of things wrong just by leaveing the parking brake on for a few yards, anyone had asimilar problem?

This morning I checked out the small battery under the air con filter and the positive bolt was loose I took it out and cleaned it, no date on it I metered it and it was showing 12.6 volts I charged it and later put it back and turned the ignition on, it said No malfunctions. I took it for a drive and after about 100 meters all the faults came back up. apart from these messages the car drives and responds as normal.
I have put my Code reader on and it says no codes to read, as they are on dislpay I guess. I'm going to have to find a dealer somewhere and get him to read it.
besides these messages I have also noticed at about 40mph a slight vibration which goes at about 50 mph.
I took it to a local workshop here in France run by an English man, he checked the car out underneath and took it for a drive with me he changed up and down manually and said he thought it was a gearbox problem and recommended a change of the oil and filter. I had to wait a couple of weeks as he is very busy.
I got the car back yesterday, vibration gone! He also said the problem with the warning messages was a broken wheel sensor on the rear right side, a new sensor was under 10 Euro but the drive shaft had to come off to dismantle and replace the sensor, all done and back to normal now and not too expensive!!
