Help? Unsure -E350 (W211) 2006 Elegance Problems??
Hi, I’m a new member.
I’m looking to buy a E350 (W211) Elegance 2006 model, and I read that these cars have problems in their balance shaft and in their braking system (SBC).
Could someone please let me know what these problems are and if these problems exist for this car? Or if there are any other problems with this car?
This is my VIN number: WDB2110562B100725 and Engine number: 27296430 547057.

You could post you're Vin: in the balancer shafts problem thread. It will email the guy's that know there stuff with the vin/engine codes.
As far as the sbc I think it's a case to case problem what you need to look for is service records but I think I've seen some owners get all services done and they still end up having to replace it.
try to keep the car for a couple of days and fill it out.

I wish I research w211 before I purchased my 05 E500 front driver side air strut went out ($1,000) and the ball joints were making noise, strut arms were going out.
so if you know how much you most likely will spend on the car in the next year you can probably knock that amount off what there asking.

No more than a couple of hours of labor from a good Independent mechanic, $210, and probably less.

I went ahead and converted to a full kw coilover conversion kit handle like a dream and I really in joy dialing in the ride height and damper of the car.
feels really good.
Ps. I have a front passenger side strut and compressor for sale also all the lines.
