Changing the GPS logo to AMG
Anyone done this? Changing the MB logo to the AMG logo in boot-up? I'm hesitant to change it because I'm terrified that I'll mess something up, but figured if it's a safe thing, you guys would know.

Ok, found it, but slightly different than your video:
1. Ignition on, to auxiliary position
2. Press "Serv" button
3. Press and hold "5" button, count to 5, then
4. Press and hold 3 and 7 buttons as well, until menu appears.
5. Select "w211 AMG"
7. Press "back", ignition off, open door, close door.
As in all such procedures, use at your own risk ( standard disclaimer
)

Don't be a poser - there is a reason your 550 didnt have AMG on the screen during startup.

Like another said, it's a far cry from a badge job. And considering my car has the AMG sports package, with rims, exhaust, etc. I hardly consider a 0.2 second logo splash a poser move. Last I checked the back of my car said E550 on the back of it, which is exactly what it is.
Take a pill.
For everyone else, I followed the steps as shown in the video, or as shown in the text instructions shown above (they're the same) and it works flawlessly. The key point being that it doesn't work immediately. You have to lock the car for a few minutes and come back before it will boot up with a different logo. Just be sure to stay w211, and not pick something else accidentally.
