Any problems with 7G ?

I'm curious as to whether anyone is having problems with the new 7G transmission? It seems to be the most significant improvement in the cars in years. I hope it will be trouble free.

650 miles and no problems so far but again I'm still in break-in period. 1st-2nd shift seems firm compared to our '02 S500 and '01 E320 4matic 5 speed auto which seems silky smooth. I like the firm shift though as it reminds me of it's sportier nature. I wonder if it 1st-2nd shift will smooth out as the tranny is still new/hasn't fully broken in.

When I accelerate 10-40mph and lay off the gas, I feel a thump within the the trans, between 2-5 gear.

I was worried that a lot of problems would surface after some time, but it seems as though this brand new tranny is realiable. A scan of the boards here will confirm that.

Smooth and necessarily better than the 5 speed? I can't fully comment, but I don't necessarily feel that the 7G is extremely smooth, and can be jarring during some of the lower speed gear changes.
