Brabus rims advice

I am pretty impressed with the Brabus Monoblock two-piece VI rims. They seem to be about $5k new but I have seen used for $1500 with tires. I am thinking they are the replicas.

My goal is to keep the car sporty yet sophisticated. I don't intend to lower the car or add a body kit. I also don't have the Appearance / Sports package so the car is very stock.

Is it okay to go with the replicas to save the $$$?

Also, should I get 18's or 19's. I definitely don't want 20's.

Thanks for the advice!

Go for the originals. Better yet save your money and get a kit also. If you don't want the kit 18's will be a better bet so that your car doesn't look like a pseudo SUV.

What kind of kit would you recommend? A factory sport package from someone wanting to upgrade?

I can get Brabus VI which are 19x8.5 in front and 19x9.5 in back. They come with fairly new 245/40's and 255/40's. They are $1500.

What do you think?

Are they real Brabus' rims? That seems very very inexpensive but it could be a blowout or clearence.

The kit, well that's something for you to decide. Personally I would go for the factory kit because I'm just that kind of person, but a lot of people seem to favor Carlsson kits and Lorinsor kits.

It all comes down to your choice at the end, if they are real Brabus' in perfect condition, grab them and slap them on, see how you like it and if it looks beautiful, just forget about the kit.

Brabus Monoblock VI Multipiece 19" for $1500 including tyres? They are either replicas or the person needs money real bad-Anyway,I prefer you go for originals-expensive but worth it and 19" are the perfect size in my opinion, you can go for 20" if you like to have your body massaged every night!

vraa, when you say factory kit, are you talking about either an AMG or sports package kit? You can get an AMG for $2900 unpainted but I'm sure there are people out there that would sell their sports kit for much lower painted.

You got me in a tight spot. I want to say AMG kit but then agian, a lot of idiots will think your a poser without knowing the real thing. And I really want to say the sports kit because it'll be more inexpensive and save you hassle from painting and such.

Go for the sports package IMO, I come from Lexus' and such, less hassle is good for me

dont be fooled!!!! you can easlily tell if they are fake or not - just look at the edge of the rim, where the "rivets" are. You will see that one of the rivets is missing in favor of a valve stem... obviously these are not 2-piece rims, and they are the Moven 7 knockoffs.. which are one piece made to look like two piece. And if they are fake, new they would cost about 1K without tires, as a reference.

If I don't get a kit (keep it stock - no sports even), and I don't intend to lower it, what size tires should I put on the Moven style 13 size 18's?

By the way, the $1500 was for replicas... they guy swore they were real. He is also bidding them up with another email address. See this link:

I am just going to get new Moven M13's. They only come in 18x8.5 which means I can't stagger them. I am going to do 245 40 for tires all around unless you all have better feedback.

I am also going to leave the stock body kit (not sport) and not lower the car... I think 19's will look too big without lowering.

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
Replicas here too. Saved a lot of money and 99% can't tell the difference. I have already scratched them up pretty badly. I would have beeen so pissed if I had paid 5K.

BUT and make sure about this. If the deal you are talking about if for the real thing then jump on it imeediately. Two piece rims are great and light and for $1500 you won't even get the replicas with tires installed.

I also have Moven M13's on my E500. My buddy has a E320 with the real Brabus rims, and with our cars side by side, you can't tell the difference. He's actually thinking of selling his Brabus rims to recoup some of the cost, then purchase the cheaper Moven ones.

Bought 18's for $181 each.

Do I need to worry about offsets or spacers? I don't think so, but just to be sure... Also, I am getting the Nitto NT555 for $150 installed this weekend.

Total cost = $1324 plus tax and $50 shipping

I picked up my Movens from coolwheels.com too. Great prices, great service, trustworthy. They also sell Monet wheels, which are the exact same wheel as the Moven. Just a different branded name, they come out from the same plant.

Just called and asked for their price. They quoted $181 and the shipping was very reasonable - $59.
