Command radio low signal after accident

Hi all
After hitting a deer in January and the repair carried out by the insurance, I have had poor fm radio signal ever since. The insurance won't do anything about it. The repair shop won't touch it unless the insurance pay for it.
The only way to describe it (I have an audio recording of it) is there is always a background hiss and one second it is working then it is just static noise.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like you've got a bad antenna connection. Could be loose or frayed wire caused by the repair.

Where did they have to do the repairs?

Damage details

Thanks for the info.
Damage was to front passenger side. It needed a new headlight assembly, bumper (fender if in U.S.) wing, air dam and bonnet repaired.
When it came out if repair, I just thought it was because they had removed battery power it had lost all stations and wasn't picking up decent radio signal.
I checked the antenna and amplifier fuses today - all ok.

I doubt it is related then to the damages as the antenna and amp are in the trunk area near the fuse box. I would check that area for obvious issues. I know that in the earlier cars they had issues with water getting into the connectors but would have figured it was fixed by the time our cars came around.

Thanks for the advice.
Is there anywhere where I can find out where the antenna amplifier and radio amplifier are actually located in the rear?
I could then take a look myself.

Before disassembling anything check to see if rear window grid was somehow damaged.
