Help ! I've had my car since 2012. It's been in the shop and it just about got a whole new life. .then one day it just didn't star .
Everything goes on. It don't turn over . The last at the shop I had a bill to pay of 4000.00 front and rear air bags ..we're done the computer was replaced . I heard it can be the crank shaft . Has anyone experienced a problem with the Crack shaft .? I just don't have them or money to put in to it. I don't even know anything about this HELP

If everything cuts on, accessories ect, but no crank it may be a starter. I'f your crank sensor was faulty it would still attempt to crank unless its so "open" its not picking anything up on the ring gear/flywheel, possible but i'd be surprised. Try banging on your starter and having someone crank the vehicle. As of lately alot of mb starters are going bad, literally out of no where, on all makes and models.... It's strange... You could also try jumping the starter to rule that out, but that requires a wiring diagram and some common electricity knowledge which im sure you can find on here.

computer replaced? which computer? Engine computer?
Crank Shaft? E500 engine is strong. Crank Shaft issue would mean a engine replacement. Never heard anyone having crank shaft issues.
It can be the crank positioning sensor. that is a $40 part. and a DIY replacement if you have the tools.
shop will charge $100 to change it.
